POST /v1/images/generations with a prompt and secret Idempotency-Key (32 random bytes as hex).
Use the official x402 v2 client for PAYMENT-SIGNATURE. Save the key through the 402 retry.
GET /v1/requests/{request_id} with Authorization: Bearer <Idempotency-Key> for free recovery.
A 202 means poll that route, not pay again. A 409 quote_expired_use_new_key requires a fresh quote.
Images expire after 24 hours. Prompts go to DeepInfra in live mode. Accounting retention: 90 days.
